  5. "pork-barrel" project in your story on budget cuts (NATION, Oct.
  6. 30) is unfair. We address, among other subjects, teen and preteen
  7. alcohol and other substance abuse, water quality, community
  8. revitalization and nutrition. Last summer, in one county alone, we
  9. saved farmers approximately $4.5 million by helping them decide how
  10. to cope with a plague of spider mites and grasshoppers.
